Samsung CLP-300 – Good bad or ugly?

Colour laser printers have always been far too expensive to purchase for the average home or small office user and their performance is far beyond what these users would need. The Samsung CLP-300 is a new type of colour laser printer aimed at these users specifically. It costs about the same as a good quality multifunction inkjet printer but offers superior print speed and can handle a much high monthly print cycle. Running costs in terms of cost per page are better to, Samsung CLP-300 toner cartridges cost about twice as much as set of your average inkjet printer cartridges much yield around 5 times as many pages. Black printing seems to be the CLP-300 strong point in terms of both speed and quality, printing in black it can produce excellent clear sharp results with an impressive speed of 16ppm, colour however the speed is reduced to 4ppm and the quality suffers when you are printing anything more than graphics. Overall it is a good printer that suits it purpose.
