Being handy

When my son asked for help with his carpentry project, I almost wrecked it with, and when my wife asked me to hammer a loose nail on one our cabinets, I hit my finger instead. But as man of the household, I really wanted to build things with my own hands.
My wife was planning to purchase a new cabinet for our kitchen, but custom made ones were so expensive that we were having second thoughts. Her father suggested we try RTA cabinets instead, though I was bad in building things, putting up RTA cabinets will be easy for me. With easy assembling instructions, I was able to put up out new kitchen cabinet. Though it was not the same of actually building it, I was still proud that it was I who put it up. Aside from RTA cabinets, there was RTA furniture that I was able to put up. And the best part was, they were a lot cheaper than custom made cabinets and furniture. I was happy with RTA products, it gave the feeling of being handy.
