For my dad’s birthday
November 28, 2009 9:58 am General, House & HomeMy dad’s birthday was coming up next month, and we still don’t know what to give him. He was a simple man and doesn’t need any luxury. It was enough that he has something to use, and as long as it’s working, he wouldn’t replace it. Like his cell phone, it was such an old model that if he hadn’t lost it, he’d probably still be using it, and he buys cheap tvs that are of the same quality than expensive ones.
Simple as he is, he still provided us with a few luxuries, like on my Christmas; he gave us, his children, mp3 players. If there is one thing my dad loves to do and is willing to spend, is watching movies. Every weekend he and mom would go out and watch movies. So, we decided to get him a dvd player and home theatre systems. We checked out the latest dvd players and home theater systems at a nearby appliance center, and after a few hours, we finally decided which model to buy. And when my dad got home and saw his new home theater system and dvd player, all set up and ready to use, he smiled, patted each on us at the back, sat down, popped a dvd in the player, and watched.
