My Mom’s Birthday

We were celebrating my mom’s birthday this afternoon, and it was going to take place in our backyard, since we needed a larger venue.  We placed tents and pop-up canopies to serve as shelter as well as decorative.  We had a large tent at the center for the food, and smaller tents at the sides for the tables and chairs.  We had to put up tents to prepare for any abrupt changes in weather conditions, it’s better to be prepared than sorry.

The party was a success, everyone special to my mom came, and from the look on her face, we knew she had a wonderful time.  And when our guests were gone, and after tidying up, we all went to the living room to relax and chat.  My dad turned on the gas logs, to help us relax and have that cozy ambience.   Having a fire burning brightly in the fireplace really brought beauty and warmth in the room, providing us with comfort and pleasure. And after a busy afternoon, it was what we needed.
